[di più]La Almunia del Valle is a small and elegant hotel situated in one of the most beautiful spots in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park located in the municipality of Monachil, Granada. At just 8 kilometers form downtown Granada, the hotel gives the visitor the luxury to be able to enjoy a natural setting of the valley, surrounded by the high picks, and crossed by the river that gives its name to the village Monachil where light and silence claim our senses. The high level of attention given to our guest by the hotel staff makes the stay in La Almunia an unforgettable experience.
The House is an old “cortijo” (typical country house in Andalucía) built from its origins with absolute respect and integration with the natural environment that surrounds it. All the rooms enjoy the impressive sight than the Sierra Nevada Natural Park has to offer; additionally, it has a 300 square meter solarium in the in the hotel terrace.
The Rooms, with their soft earth tones and colors, project the warm atmosphere of their current design. The hotel has 6 standard double room and 3 superior double room whit private terrace opposite P.N. Sierra Nevada.All rooms are provided with internet connection, telephone, air conditioning, and a mini-bar. The interior furnishings that dress each room were carefully selected to give the guest a cozy and relaxing environment. The small details become important everywhere and are complemented with an interesting collection of original art work displayed in the different areas of the hotel. Attention to detail and the interior decoration allow the guest a warm and comfortable stay. The staff’s main concern is the highest degree of attention to the guests.
The Estate, with a total of 13,000 square meters in land, is divided in two areas. One that is cultivated with olive, chestnut and various other fruit trees, and the second section was left in its natural state with oaks, esparteras and aromatic herbs, and extends over the side of the mountain at the back of the hotel, thus shielding the hotel of light pollution from the nearby urban areas. We would like to highlight the pleasure of being able to meditate on the terrace while enjoying star gazing at the star filled nights of spring and summer.
The Village of Monachil is strategically situated in the province and is only a 20 minutes drive to the Sierra Nevada ski resort, 35 minutes drive to the Costa Tropical, and 30 minutes to the peculiar region of La Alpujarra, and thus offering an assortment of attractive and varied options to our guests all year around.
Active tourism activities, as they are characteristically known, such as horse back riding, rafting, parasailing, and day, or night visits to La Alhambra, can be easily arranged by our guest in specialized centers in the province. These companies have a high degree of experience in supporting sport activities in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, or cultural visits to La Alhambra and its surroundings or “Andalusi” heritage. Nevertheless even with such services, La Almunia del Valle will be glad to assist and inform our guests with details about current cultural activities, worthwhile scenic routes or exhibitions, concerts that are taking place in the vicinity.
The Estate as well as all of the other services rendered by the hotel are for the exclusive use of our guests and not for public use.
