GALERIA
Hello there, finally i find some time for going to shopping. And i spend all my day in Galeria where is always really amazing for me. Although i spend all my day i am a bit sad about why i did not buy that beautiful shoes:) well anyway.... This is not an area for telling this but i just want to write.
As usual i want to start with history of Galleria. In this time i do not want to tell about general history of Galeria. Because it is not a historical places that people will enjoy to learn it. So this time i would like to write about history of Galeria for me. But just a little general information about there. Galeria was opened in 1988 in that time i was just 2 years old. I have first been in there when i was 5 years old with my mum for new year presents. I really like there so much. It was decorated with nice trees, small Santa Claus dolls, snowmen and many different kind of nice thing. I had had took my first Santa and me photo in there;) After all years i always go there for the shopping of new years cause i love the atmosphere so much in that time. Galeria has changed its decoration every month. The decoration is depends on months of specialities.
Galeria is located in Bakirköy Yesilköy road. You should see there when you are coming or going to Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Galeria is really close to Bakirköy pier that you can arrived Galeria with sea buses from the Anatolian side of Istanbul. You can also reached there with buses and mini buses. The area of Galeria is not a historical place but the area is quite nice and there are some small pubs, night clubs, restaurants, cafés and many other shopping areas.
The building has three floor and really long area. At the first floor there is a Migros as super market that you can find many things such as Turkish Honey, cheese and other things. As we are talking about first floor there is an area for doing ice skating. It is really special for me cause i firstly try it in there. Said honestly after that day i never think about skiting:)I was terribly bad at this. But it is really popular attraction for Galeria that most of people go there only for this. A lot of area for getting meal are stayed in the first floor. Although there are lots of meal which are Turkish food you can also find different kinds of foods from Chinese, Japanese, Italian, American kitchen. There is also salad bar, cafes and restaurant for vegetarian. If we are talking about second floor i will say that it is almost for clothes. You can find both from Turkish and worlds trades. The people who are working at this shops are really friendly and they do not push to you for buying something. And i think the best thing is for there. And the last floor of Galleria is made by Cine max and Bowling. The cinema rooms are quite beautiful and watching movies is really nice. If i remember right eight different movies are played at the same time. The bowling is really nice at getting time in there is really awesome. I always drink milkshake in there. I really recommend you to drink a milkshake in there. Galeria has also an autopark which is no fee for it. You can go there with your car. I write this here cause most of mall mostly have autopark but you should pay some money or you have to spend money on the mall.
Lastly i will say that i really recommend this area for shopping. But if you are coming Istanbul for just a couple of days it is just waste your time. Cause there are a lot of things to do and shopping mall and bazaars are surround you that you can buy easily whatever you want.
