The park covers an area of more than 135 hectares (334 acres) and offers a blend of formal gardens and more progressive landscaping which incorporates rocks, tree roots etc.
The park contains many statues of both local and international characters including the local Wodeyar rulers and both Queen Victoria and Edward VII. The park lies in the area between the High Court and the Government Museum.
Entrance is free and the park is open from dawn until dusk.
