[di più]Vidhana Soudha is the home of the Secretariat and State Legislature of the Indian state of Karnataka. The building is constructed of granite and porphyry and was built in 1956 after local power transferred to central government away from the ruling Wodeyar dynasty who previously ruled in Bangalore.
The building is built in classical style combining elements of Rajastani and Indo-Saracenic style and is topped by a 20 metre wide dome.
Vidhana Soudha is not routinely open to the public but is floodlit on Public Holidays and Sunday evenings and this attracts a lot of tourists and photographers.
