The park came into existence in 1955 and is noted for its tigers and for the nearly extinct swamp deer. Bamni Dadar also known as Sunset Point is the most spectacular part of the park. The hotel can arrange for tours for geusts to explore the National Park. Chitvan stresses on educating guests on conservation, and themselves take steps to offset global warming. All food ingredients are grown organically at the hotel, and guests have the option of cooking for themselves under the chef's supervision.
