[di più]Opened in July 1959 and located in the former hunting lodge at Abergavenny Castle, the museum offers free admission except when there are special events. Besides the five permanent galleries, temporary exhibits are changed six monthly and cover the period from prehistory to the present, including important archaeological material. It is also possible to explore the Castle grounds and have an onsite picnic. There is limited access for visitors with mobility problems.
Facilities include a souvenir shop and the opening hours are:
Mon - Sat: 11h00 - 13h00 & 14h00 - 17h00 and Sun: 2pm-5pm (March - October)
The rest of the year it is Mon - Sat: 11h00 - 13h00 & 14h00 - 17h00 only.
